New Homes

Our Home is a home
Since Tish came to stay
She’s changed our lives in so many ways
Settled in well since day one
Learning new things and having fun
Enjoying her walks, twice a day
And the fuss she gets, from folk on the way
Our friends adore her, as much as we do
God bless you Tish, so glad we found you.

This is Truffle at 5 months old (tortie on right) with 15yr old
black male, Willow. Truffle regards Willow as her mum,Willow regards Truffle as a bit of a nuisance at times, but still worth teaching the finer points of food begging and hunting. They got on fine together after only a few weeks and the younger cat has brought Willow a new interest in life, even if he does give her the odd nip to keep her in her place. Truffle has settled in with the family really well, she's a bit wary of strangers (no bad thing) but with us she's so affectionate.
MAYA - She loves to be a lap cat and, for whatever reason, she insists on being strokes the “wrong” way! She’s very vocal and very chatty; you can have a conversation with her and she’ll meow when you pause!

SMOKEY & FIZZ - We decided to get a new cat about 4 months after our first cat, Tarka, passed away. Tarka had lived to the fantastic age of 32. My sister and I really want to keep animals in the family.
We decied to go to the Kit Wilson Trust for a rescued cat and we chose Smokey and Fizz because we thought it would be nice to have two cats. They were mother and daughter, Fizz being the mum. They had been at the rescue centre for four months. They were abandoned when the owner moved house and the neighbours heard the cats and contacted the Kit Wilson Trust, who were happy to come and help the cats.
We would like to thank the Trust. The cats we have rescued are lovely and we could not wish for better -thanks again.
LILLIE-MAY & ZAC - Colette has an uncanny knack of knowing what dog will suit you and often it is totally different to what you think will suit you! My precious dog Jake went over the rainbow bridge in August, leaving me with Zak, who is not the most sociable with other dogs. I said to Colette that I needed a dog that would get on with Zak and be rough coated. I was thinking along the lines of a shaggy terrier cross. Then in October she asked if I would like to see a stray that had come in, well in walked this long legged, smooth coated, black beauty, not what I thought I would have chosen! But after a couple of days of short walks and meetings with Zak, Lillie-May came home with us and as you can see it is a perfect match, and I absolutely adore her too!
