Fundraise at school

Some quick & easy ideas that you can do at school to help raise money for the Kit Wilson Trust.

  • Non-uniform day: It's a classic. Ditch the uniform for the day and bring some pennies in to raise money for charity.
  • Teacher fancy dress: Persuade your teachers to come to school in fancy dress! Sponsor their brave efforts to amuse you for the day.
  • School cake sale: Another tried-and-true favourite. Bring in your homemade (or shop-bought!) cakes to sell to your classmates and raise funds for KWT. (Please make sure all participants are aware of potential allergens.)
  • Bring 'n Buy sale: Bring in an item or two to donate to the cause, and buy something someone else has brought in! You can run it as a one-off event, over a few days, or even set up a semi-permanent stall at your school. It's a great way to raise money for The Kit Wilson Trust and support the sustainability movement by donating and reusing second-hand items from your friends - good for the animals and the environment!
  • Your School's got Talent: Host a talent show to celebrate your classmates’ skills. Charge a small entry fee and raise money while enjoying the entertainment!.

  • Coffee mornings: Get together with your local community, clubs, or even your church to host a coffee morning in aid of The Kit Wilson Trust. Coffee mornings are a great way to connect with others, raise awareness, and collect donations, all over a cup of tea or coffee! Offer cakes and refreshments and ask for a small donation from attendees.
  • Quiz nights: Host a quiz at your local pub, café, bingo hall, or community centre. Make it fun and engaging — bonus points for animal-themed questions!
  • Charity car wash: Organise a charity car wash in your local area and charge a small fee as a donation for our charity.
  • Hosted tea party or BBQ: Make the most of the warmer weather by hosting a tea party or BBQ in your garden for your friends, family & neighbours? Take a small donation as an entry fee to raise money for the Kit Wilson Trust.
  • Birthday fundraisers: Are you having a birthday celebration but struggling with gift ideas? Set up your own birthday fundraiser for yourself or for someone you know. Ask friends and family to donate to our cause instead of purchasing a gift!
