Alex Taylor's Incredible Fundraising Journey!

Alex Taylor's incredible fundraising journey!
We’re absolutely thrilled (and incredibly grateful) to shine a spotlight on the amazing Alex Taylor, who took on the London Marathon 2025 in support of The Kit Wilson Trust for Animal Welfare! Alex is a supporter of ours and has recently adopted one of our animals in need.
Alex, who runs Fetch, a Crowborough-based dog home boarding and day care service, has a heart firmly rooted in animal care. And although she modestly admits she's “not a natural runner,” she bravely took on the challenge after receiving a surprise spot in the London Marathon, courtesy of her husband’s long-running tradition of entering her into the ballot for the past 18 years!

“I had a bit of a panic attack when the confirmation email came through,” Alex told us. “I couldn’t really say no, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!”
What began as a hopeful £100 fundraising goal quickly exploded. Within 24 hours, Alex had raised over £500, and she has now raised an incredible £2,760, all thanks to the generosity and support of her community.
Her local gym, CrossFit Crowborough, also stepped up by providing some fantastic prizes for Alex's charity prize draw, which helped to raise even more funds for the animals we care for.
We are in absolute awe of Alex’s dedication, energy, and compassion—not to mention her running shoes! Every pound raised goes directly to helping animals in need, from veterinary care to shelter, food, and rehoming support.
Thank you, Alex, for going above and beyond (and well beyond your comfort zone!) to help us make a difference. You’re not just running marathons—you’re changing lives.
What's even more incredible? Alex has already registered herself for more marathons!
